Sensitive Teeth Treatment

sensitive teeth treatment at northgate dental in colorado springs

Balance your bite and prevent a wide range of
dental problems with T-Scan® III technology.

At Northgate Dental we have discovered that many common dental conditions come about through poor occlusion (the way your top and bottom teeth meet when you bite together.)

Common complaints that are related to your bite:
  • Headaches
  • Stiffness in the jaw
  • Sensitive teeth
  • Neck or back pain
  • Overbite
  • Underbite
Optimally, all your teeth should come in contact with one another at about the same time and with equal force. When this does not happen, your occlusion is unbalanced and problems may result.

Some of the problems may include:

• Damaged restorations (crowns, bridges)
• Fractured teeth
• Sensitive teeth
• Receding gums or loose teeth
• Pain in the teeth, muscles, and jaw joint
• Nighttime teeth grinding
• Increased headache and neck pain
• Greater tooth wear and sensitivity

How can Northgate Dental help to balance your bite?

Our dental clinic in Colorado Springs has added the T-Scan® Occlusal Analysis System to our practice. The T-Scan is a diagnostic device that allows us to better analyze and adjust your bite (occlusion), treat sensitive teeth, and prevent other problems! The Bite Test is very easy and painless. The digital output will precisely show our staff which areas of your bite are too early or too forceful. These areas can cause mild to severe ear pain, neck pain, jaw pain, sensitive teeth, and can trigger headaches and migraines.

Once a bite pattern is evaluated by Dr. Carter, Northgate Dental will develop an individualized treatment plan for you.

How does the Bite Test work?

You simply bite down on a thin sensor and the software displays the timing of contacts and levels of force in a dynamic movie. It will show your bite from beginning to end and all that is happening in between. This will allow us to immediately visualize problem areas before you leave the office that day.

Advanced Computer Functional Analysis:

Successful diagnosis and treatment of your condition requires state-of-the-art technology. We use the only computerized bite test that can accurately and objectively measure your occlusion/bite. If you are experiencing problems with your bite call our Colorado Springs dental clinic at (719) 488 – 2292. We will be happy to answer your questions and get you scheduled for a bite test appointment.
